About Us
The Guthrie Lab at Western University focuses on pathogen genomics, yet our approach is interdisciplinary in nature – combining principles from bioinformatics, epidemiology, public health, genomics and microbiology. We aim to use these tools to improve our ability to predict antimicrobial resistance, understand patterns of disease transmission, detect outbreaks, and provide insights into pathogen evolution.
